2019. Music Video

Para el videoclip de la canción “Penumbra” de Tortuganónima, se comenzó coleccionando texturas y materiales que estuvieran directamente relacionados a la temática del disco "Imago". Surgieron naturalmente cosas como líquidos, papeles de libros antiguos, carboncillo, etc. En paralelo, se hizo un montaje en papel que luego fue intervenido por fans de la banda en un taller guiado. El resultado final fue compuesto e integrado digitalmente con las animaciones hechas por la productora.

El taller se planteó como un espacio seguro, libre del prejuicio sobre el error y donde la voz de cada uno sería plasmada a través de la animación, promoviendo la colaboración activa entre participantes, la obra y la banda.

For the song “Penumbra” by Tortuganónima, we started collecting materials and textures directly related to the themes inside their album "Imago". Things like liquids, old magazine pages, charcoal pens and old books started to come up. Meanwhile, we made a montage with old footage, which we used for an analog rotoscopy workshop specially arranged for the occasion. The interventions made by fans where then integrated digitally with animations made by our studio.

The workshop was raised as a safe space for expression, getting rid of the notion of error during the animation process. This ended in a collaborative effort between participants, the band, and the final product.
